More potting


Whilst Mani and Mick are busy promoting the nursery at the Newark Garden Show (pop by and say hello if you are in the area), Ian and Dani are busy potting up the last of the bedding….. Summer Bedding Plants It won’t be too long before hanging baskets will be ready for the season. However, should you be making your own baskets, we’ve got a whole selection of plants that are ready, looking fresh and well rooted. Surfinia, Fuschia, Nepeta, Verbena, Lobelia, Diascia, Nemesia, Bacopa, Bidens, San Vitalia, Calibrachoa … all looking strong and happy! Happy Easter


The tulips in the garden Are wearing yellow hats; The pussy willows by the brook Have fur like any cats’. The bee is honey hunting; The robin’s chirp is gay; And all the world is singing, “Oh, happy Easter Day!”  Mani – our meet and greet is feeling much better after a traumatic visit to the doctor’s. Ready to receive you again with a smile! Perennials The plants are loving this weather and are coming on faster than we can cope! April come she will

Pulmonaria Blue Ensign

..when streams are ripe and swelled with rain. The spring weather is being very kind to us and the nursery is looking good for this time of year. Our perennials are strong and fresh and we are finally getting them all in order (the logistics of loosing 2 tunnels is unbelievable!) Anyone hunting specific varieties… be quick! Certain liners in flower are selling fast: Dicentra spectabilis (Spectabilis, Alba, Goldheart & Valentine), Pulmonarias (Blake’s Silver, Blue Ensign, Sissinghurst White & Diana Clare), just to mention a couple. Good start to the season

Veg is out, bedding is on it’s way and perennials are looking great. The vast selection of summer bedding is now potted up and growing on nicely. Should the kind weather continue the first varieties will be on sale within the next few weeks. Lewisias have over wintered fantastically, at £2.00 each you couldn’t find a better bargain. Hardy Fuchsias are now available at £1.50 a pot and looking mighty fine. On a side note, the blueberries and red currants are full  of bloom and should perform really well this year.
